Eighteen years ago, I launched my very first photography business, R & J Photography, with my wife Jennifer—fueled by a deep love for capturing moments and telling stories through the lens. Over the years, my journey took me through plenty of twists and turns—balancing passion, work, and everyday life. Now, as life finally begins to slow down, I find myself drawn back to my creative roots.

California has always been my backdrop and my inspiration—from the rugged peaks of the Sierra Nevada to the vibrant streets of Southern California. But lately, what’s pulling me in isn’t just the outdoors—it’s the built environment too: the lines, light, and design choices that shape how a place feels. This brand reboot is more than just a new logo or website—it’s a renewed commitment to my craft and to creating images that do more than look good. I want my photography to help tell the story of spaces people design, build, and use—architecture, interiors, and the details that make a project stand out.

Robert J. Bell Photography is a California-certified Small Business and Disabled Veteran Business Enterprise (DVBE). My work is rooted in service—using storytelling and imagery to support the veteran community wherever I can. I welcome collaboration with veteran service organizations and nonprofit groups doing the work on the front lines. I actively pursue projects that bring visibility to veteran homelessness, mental-health struggles, and the people fighting to address them. My goal is simple: use my craft to make sure these stories are seen, heard, and never ignored.
